Lucha contra las especies invasoras en las cuencas hidrográficas  de los ríos Tajo y Guadiana en la Península Ibérica
»»» Volver a la página principal
Our main objective is to let children know the following facts in a fun and safe
way:

What invasive species are, and what their effect on nature is.

Why having exotic pets, and then releasing them, is one of the main
pathways of their introduction in our environment.

And most important, how we can contribute to prevent those species from
being introduced in our ecosystems.

Not only children participation is important, also yours accounts. The problem
of having exotic pets and releasing them into nature concerns children, and
also their parents.

It is very common the fact that children, after some time having their amazing
new pets, lose interest in them, since they are no longer a novelty. Then, it is
their parents' turn to take care of them. Sometimes, there is a point in which
that care cannot be provided any more, and people just decide to release
exotic pets into nature, instead of taking them to specialised centres. That is
the moment when these species become a problem for environment.

That is why we prompt you and your children to take part in the several games,
competitions, and campaigns organized by the INVASEP Club.
The INVASEP Club has been especially designed for children and young people!!!
